With this in mind, we place a strong emphasis on building a strong foundation of trust from the very beginning. We work with a focus on helping you feel as comfortable as possible during your counselling sessions.

CHILD THERAPY

Virtual sessions only

  • Our therapists work with your child to address the emotional, psychological and behavioural needs of your child. Parents play an important role in the assessment process when beginning child therapy.

  • The goal of child therapy is to help children express themselves, process difficult experiences, understand their feelings and develop effective coping strategies.

  • A variety of strategies are used by our therapist, taking into account your child’s developmental state, including play therapy and storytelling.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Virtual sessions only

  • Our therapists help you identify and understand patterns of behaviour, thought and emotion, and collaboratively work with you to set goals and develop strategies for managing difficulties, improving well-being, and enhancing overall mental health.

  • The goal of individual therapy is to provide a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences, and to develop coping strategies, insights, and personal growth.

  • Our therapists work with you to find a therapeutic approach that is client-centered. We borrow from a wide range of modalities, including emotions focused, attachment focused, cognitive behavioural therapy, and narrative therapy.

COUPLES THERAPY

Virtual sessions only

  • We work with couples to help navigate communication issues, conflicts and relationship dynamics to foster greater understanding and intimacy.

  • The aim of couples therapy is to create a supportive and constructive environment where both partners can openly discuss their concerns, feelings and perspectives.

  • Our therapy will provide support by identifying patterns of interaction, communication styles and areas of conflict and provide you with tools for fostering empathy, and deepening emotional intimacy and understanding between partners. 

FAMILY THERAPY

Virtual sessions only

  • We work collaboratively with families to address family conflict, improve communication, and promote healthy relationships between family members where everyone feels valued.

  • The focus on family therapy is improving the overall functioning of the family unit as a whole by emphasizing the interconnectedness of family members and how their actions and emotions affect one another.

  • During sessions, our therapists will help family members identify patterns of behaviour, communication styles and roles within the family system.

PARENT COACHING

  • Our parenting coach offers insight, strategies and evidence-based techniques to assist parents in addressing specific concerns, improving parent-child relationships and enhancing overall parenting skills. This support is tailored to the specific needs of your family.

  • The goal of parent coaching is to help parents develop effective parenting strategies, improve communication with their children and navigate various challenges

SUPERVISED PARENTING TIME

  • Our Clinicians meet with family members virtually and/or in person to identify the areas of strengths and needs for parents with their children during parenting time.

  • Our clinicians provide supervised parenting time between parents and their children. The goal of supervised parenting time is to support the parent-child relationship while prioritizing the child’s safety and wellbeing. The level of supervision and support for each family varies depending on their special circumstances and needs.
